DAT Tools on the World Stage: Supporting Aussie Bricklayers at the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500

At DAT Tools, we build professional-grade bricklaying tools for the people who actually use them. In January, that commitment took us all the way from regional Victoria to Las Vegas, where we proudly supported Australian talent at the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500, the largest bricklaying competition in the world.

The event brought together 28 of the world’s best professional bricklayers and 10 junior competitors. It was a massive celebration of the trade and a proud moment for us as a small Australian tool company making an impact on the global stage.

Supporting Team Amuso and the Global Bricklaying Community

We proudly sponsored Team Amuso, an Australian team representing our country with skill, precision, and pride. Backing them was more than just a sponsorship. It was our way of recognising the incredible craftsmanship that Aussie bricklayers bring to the trade.

But our support went even further.

Every competitor and junior competitor at the event received a DAT Tools merch bag, hand-packed in Australia and flown over to Las Vegas. Each bag included:

Seeing our Barrel Jointer being used and appreciated by international bricklayers confirmed what we’ve always believed. There is a place for Aussie-designed tools in every part of the world when they are built right, tested in real conditions, and created by people who understand the trade.

DAT Tools started with a single product. We now offer a growing range of masonry tools, including jointers and the WeepEase™ Tool, created to solve everyday challenges for bricklayers. Being part of this event reminded us just how far we’ve come, and how much further we are ready to go.
